A three-position toggle switch is used for moving the blade guide arm towards or away from the edge of the log. It’s important to control the distance between the blade guide arm and the sawn log, especially when the log is irregular in shape.
The best practice is to keep the blade guide arm about 5-7 cm away from the edge of the log. Usually, you start from the wide-spread guide arm, as logs are the widest at the bottom, and gradually adjust the arm as the log tapers in at the top. Neglecting the adjustment of the blade guide arm will result in blade instability and vibration while sawing.
The blade guide toggle switch is shielded with a rubber cover (sold separately, part #: P02575) protecting the switch from weather conditions, dirt and sawdust. Please replace the switch and the rubber cover as needed.
